This handout was created by mixed media artist and arts facilitator, Qaadira Allen. On June 15th, She facilitated a hands on workshop providing an opportunity to look at the impact of stress on the teaching artist and their work to identify tools for renewal, relaxation and increased resiliency.

Specific topics addressed at this meeting were how to coordinate internships by university students at community arts organizations so they would be more beneficial to all partners.

Topic: Defining the framework for a collaborative training forum for theatre teaching artists.

The current law indicates that persons who work with children must obtain a Criminal Background Check and a Child Abuse History Clearance. Effective, July 1, 2008, Pennsylvania will also require individuals who provide child care services to child to obtain a fingerprint based FBI clearance. This handout contains information of how to obtain an FBI clearance.

These documents are the handouts from the "Independent Contractor or Employee? Unraveling the Mystery of Employment Status for Teaching Artists" workshop held on April 14th, 2008.

Attorney, Laura Solomon, facilitated the workshop that reviewed the criteria for deciding if teaching artists are employees or independent contractors. She prepared and provided the following documents as part of her presentation.

These handouts were prepared by Wendy Osterweil & Karen Malandra, the facilitators of the VA TAG "Dialogue in Print" workshop on April 5, 2008. The handouts review creative thinking and collaborative exercises through silkscreen printing that are adaptable for use with children or adults in schools and community settings.

Ted Enoch was the facilitator for this roundtable meeting. He sent out a survey measuring the participants’ priorities in National and State academic standards.
